Get the bra BEFORE the dress. Before you fall in love with the dress of your dreams, find a bra that fits your body and feels great. Then find a dress that works perfectly! There is a lot to consider, and depending on your band or cup size, your bra options may be limited. You may not be able to get that fabulous strapless dress if you can’t find a strapless bra or bustier that fits you well. And if you have a large bust, don’t be so quick to pick out a swooping deep plunge dress! Finding a deep plunge bra to compliment your dress might be very difficult, and very expensive!

Take your bra with you when trying on dresses. Having the bra with you will make finding the dress much easier. You will know right off the bat if the dress and bra work well together, and will help you avoid costly alterations or emotional turmoil when you have to exchange it.

Talk to your seamstress. She knows best how to make the bra and dress work perfectly. She can tell you what to look for shopping for wedding garments, and help you chose things that will flatter and be functional at the same time.

Undergarments VS lingerie. In case you weren’t sure, control wear and a white or beige bra do not necessarily scream SEXY! Don't assume what you wear under your dress will be what you surprise your new husband with when the celebration is over. Knock his socks off (literally) with an extraordinary bra, panty and garter set, a babydoll, or a corset and panty set to change into, so that it's clean and fresh for a memorable night.
